Every year National History Day® frames students’ research within a historical theme. The theme is chosen for the broad application to world, national, or state history and its relevance to ancient history or to the more recent past. The 2020-2021 theme is  Communication in History: The Key to Understanding.

Junior Division Project Categories
Contest Rules

Students in 7th and 8th grade honors classes are guided through the research portion of the project and supported when making their entries. A display of Harrison Morton's NHD projects will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021, beginning at 1pm. 

Highlights: 
8th grade NHD students will visit Muhlenberg's Trexler Library on TBD, to research primary sources available through their resources. Students are invited to return to the library as often as they desired to research and record their findings. This trip is sponsored by the Allentown School District Foundation. 
As many as twenty entries, two from each category, will move on to the regional competition.

State Competition:  May TBD, 2021,  @Carlisle HS, Carlisle, PA
